Natasha Carr-Rouse
MBACP (Accred)

I offer remote integrative therapy sessions, including EMDR, and work with a range of issues. I have a particular interest in life transitions (how we ease into new 'versions' of ourselves). Perhaps you are entering a new decade of life, going to uni, embarking on learning a new skill, ending a career, starting on a new relationship or adjusting to the end of an old one, becoming a parent or a grandparent, or experiencing a loss - perhaps of health or identity, or a bereavement. Maybe there is a feeling of having become disconnected from your sense of purpose or direction. People turn to counselling for a diverse range of reasons.

I work with a variety of clients via Priory (Bristol), where I have worked for the last 7 years, as well as providing therapy through the Wellbeing Service of the Diocese of Bath and Wells. I also have my own private practice, (and have previously provided sessions for 'Spill' mental health employee support).

I am an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counsellors &
Psychotherapists (MBACP Accred) and work within their code of
ethics. I hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate.

Why might I decide to see a counsellor?

We all go through seasons of uncertainty, loss of direction, tough, painful experiences that leave us wondering who we are and where we are going. Sometimes, it feels more subtle than this. We might start to notice patterns in our lives that we want to explore and perhaps change, or there is a sense of something feeling unsettled within, even when on the surface things might look 'fine'. There are many reasons that people choose to seek out the safe supportive space offered by counselling and therapy as a way of helping to make sense of their lives.

What to expect...
I work via Zoom and Bilateral Base Platforms to offer flexible remote therapy. I offer a 60 minute introductory session (£35). Following this, if we both feel that we can work well together and you would like to continue, we can then arrange our first session. Sessions are £50 for 60 minutes counselling / £75 for 90 minutes EMDR. If you would like to book an introductory session, please email me: natasha@dwellcounselling.co.uk.

I offer a safe, confidential, non-judgemental space in which you are invited to explore whatever area of your life is troubling you. I will respond to your story with compassion and empathy. I trust that all human beings are filled with great potential for continuing transformation throughout their lives and
I believe that you are the best
expert about yourself.

I believe each of us has the wisdom within needed for growth and healing but, due to the experiences of our lives,
it is easy to lose contact with
this precious core of self-knowledge. This can result in feelings of anxiety, depression, boredom: a heavy sense of being distanced from the essence of who you truly are.

Counselling offers you a way to re-connect with yourself and is an invitation to let go of ways of 'doing life' that no longer serve you well. It can also enable you to find your way through painful and unsettling life events, as well as help you transition through new phases of life that may initially feel daunting or cause you to question aspects of your identity.
What people have said...
